NYC Seen Through my Lubitel
Tina Bagué
22/04/98. (Sala 181)
From April 22 to May 16, 1998.
Tina Bagué presents a selection of images from an extensive reportage that she made during 1995 and the summer of 1997.
The reportage has as constants the fact that it has been made with a poor camera, that is to say a Russian plastic camera called Lubitel that reminds the one that would be a Rolleiflex of double objective. On the other hand almost all the images are made in New York and have no other pretension than to give her personal vision of what she saw and lived in a city as emblematic as NYC.
Of the photographs exhibited, 24 are 24 x 24 cm. and 3 are 1m x 1m. The first ones are sold for 43.000 ptas. with the frame included and the large format ones are sold for 90.000 ptas.
