Festive cuisine, is a pilot project by Ecal (University of Art & Design, Lausanne – Switzerland) and has been directed and developed by designer Ronan Bouroullec with four students from the department of industrial design from this university and specialists from Boffi, in the research workshops organized by the Salón de Milán, 2003.
The project involves the conceptualization, layout and production of a kitchen and its utensils, a kind of “rental kitchen” with an element that can quickly show and perform simultaneously, kitchen, table, bank, worktop and product counter functions.
In this festive scenario, the priority lies in the preparation of food. The design of all the elements and the gestures that involve their use makes it an amazingly theatrical and unique project.
