I have been dedicated to painting for many years.
I have always had a camera by my side and its protagonism has been growing.
Nowadays I dedicate myself only to photography.
My look with the camera is that of a painter.
The current exhibition at La Sala Vinçon is a sample of the photos of the last years.

Francesc Guitart (Esparreguera, Barcelona 1936) Painter, engraver, sculptor and photographer, Francesc Guitart has dedicated these last years with preference to photography but always trying to show in it his more pictorial aspects.
Since the 70’s he has presented a total of 56 solo exhibitions in galleries in Spain, Germany, Belgium, Holland, U.S.A, Japan and Luxembourg.
Sotheby’s auctioned 2 photographs in the “Images of Women” section in May 2005.

His works are part of private collections and the following museums: – Cabinet des Estampes de la Bibliothèque National de Paris (art collection) – The Brooklyn Museum of New York – Museum of Art Carnegie Institute of Pittsburg – Stäelsche Kultur-Institut de Frankfurt – Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (graphic section) – Col-lecció Testimoni de la Fundació La Caixa
