Objects are transformable if they are not only practical.
If they are more than just practical, objects are transformable.
Working with recognisible things is essential for communicating or suggesting something.
Creating methods are based on play, playing with objects and ideas. Objects are full of symbols and connotations after they have been materialized which is their practical reason for exisiting. When summed up together with its genetic particularities and their individual experiences, creative exercises and results are made possible.
When I play and come up with an idea, I always get the feeling that it was meant to happen. I don’t have control over it, I don’t forsee it nor do I have an instinct feeling of it. It just pops up in my head. Its development is secret, the effects and causes of the creative exercise are coded to me.
“The artist is irrelevant once the job comes into existence”, Garry Winogrand. (…exists or comes out of the artists drawer).
When there is an idea judgement comes into play, and the question is will this composition work or not.
Each work has to speak for itself. It should have an inherent sense in its plastic form, its deepness is on its surface.
