Arranz Bravo & Bartolozzi

The fact that La Sala Vinçon is located in the same place where the painter Ramón Casas once had his studio, Arranz Bravo and Bartolozzi set up a revival/montage.

The walls and halls’ floor were painted in the same colour Casas had at the time. Lamps, tables, chairs and other objects of the time were also placed and copies of the magazine “Pèl i Ploma” all from the collection of Oleguer Junyent were put up.

In this setting about thirty oil paintings, drawings and prints were placed by Arranz Bravo and Bartolozzi to reproduce Casas works. Alongside Casas’ signature a stamp that said “Arranz Bravo – ES COPIA- Bartolozzi” was put on.

Anecdotally, they placed a “double” of Casas’ picture upside down to decorate the interiors of 4 Gats where a tandem can be seen with 2 cyclists.
