“Document of popular Catalan architecture of 1975, for a museum of History of the City”.

The exhibition consisted of showing, with a very clear critical intention, a compilation of “disasters” at the architectural and design level of elements related to urban and architectural infrastructure.

Samples of what has been done at this level in Catalonia in 1975 are collected.

Photographs, plans and objects are placed in the room.

The photographs and plans correspond to buildings and apartments: houses for housing in Barcelona, stores, commercial buildings, chalets located in summer villages, hotels in tourist areas… Among the objects: toilets upholstered with dacha, door handles, lamps, signs, screens, flowerpots, blinds, interior and garden furniture, mailboxes, closets, garden barbecues…

Actions carried out: Screening of the film “Mi Terraza” by Gonzalo Herralde based on an idea by Studio PER, 15′ long.

Pep Bonet prepared a 20-minute itinerary near La Sala where he pointed out some of the architectural and urbanistic “disasters” of the area.

The book “Arquitectura y Lágrimas”, a compilation of photos by Leopoldo Pomés and Xavier Sust, published by Tusquets Editor, was presented.

And a book by Xavier Sust entitled “Las estrellas de la arquitectura”, published by Tusquets Editor, 1975.
