Several cubes in wood and methacrylate, of different sizes, placed on the walls and on the floor contain the new collections of Gabriel Torres, Hergenhahn and Itxaso. The individual lighting of each cube, invites to observe each object closely.
Avoiding fashion shows and catwalks with models, the three creators have decided to show their collections in places outside the context of fashion. United by a way of understanding their craft as a multidisciplinary creation, they present their collections together.
Itxaso presents her new collection of bags-accessories or “containers of things” as she likes to call her pieces. Pieces that end up merging with the garments. This collection, called Zoo, consists of strange creatures with inflated and draped shapes, which thanks to the characteristics of the fabric with lurex adopt whimsical forms. “Somehow, when you make them yours they are more than your handbag, a pet that accompanies you,” comments Itxaso.
Susanne Hergenhahn experiments in this collection with cotton ribbon becoming knitted garments. She uses ecru as a base color contrasted with exaggerated details in bright primary colors. In 1994 she started her own company Hergenhahn Knitwear. She has also collaborated with other firms such as Sybilla, Antonio Miró or Lydia Delgado. At the same time, she works as a teacher.
Gabriel Torres, specialized in men’s fashion, has an experimental style, subtle and full of nuances. His eclecticism looks both East and West. His spirit of learning and improvement has also led him to teaching.
He has designed costumes for various shows and plays.
