Andreu World presents furniture collections designed by Frank Gehry, Mario Bellini and Vico Magistretti which offer outdoor and indoor decor solutions. Products distributed in Spain under the license of Heller Inc.- New York.
Through these collections Andreu World, a leading company in development, production and commercialisation of tables and wooden designer chairs, incorporates a high-technology product typology that complements his current catalogue offer.
Together with these projects, Andreu World holds an exhibition for the new SMILE chair collection in the Furniture section. Designs by Lievore Altherr Molina, made from wood and characterized by its visual lightness, structural robustness and great versatility.
Heller is an international furniture manufacturer, with production lines in USA and Europe. His commercial activity begun in 1971 with a stackable dining chair collection designed by Massimo Vignelli, which was awarded the Compasso d’Oro prize in Italy. It has been included as a part of the MOMA collection of permanent design in New York.
For over 30 years, Heller has offered main designers the opportunity to work with highly technical materials to create innovative products. Heller has worked with international designers such as Massimo Vignelli, Philippe Starck, Mario Bellini, Vico Magistretti, William Sawaya and Frank Gehry.
Heller’s products form part of designer collections all over the world including MOMA, Metropolitan Museum, Whitney, Smithsonian, Louvre Museum of Decorative Arts and The Vitra Museum and have received a number of prestigious awards such as: Compasso d’Oro, I.D. Annual Design Distinction For Furniture, Industrial Design Excellence Award, Industrial Designers Society of America, International Design Yearbook, International Contemporary Furniture Fair Award for Best Seating, Good Design Award, The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
Lievore Altherr Molina was established by Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr and Manel Molina who constituted a company in 1991. The studio currently collaborates with projects in Spain, Germany and Italy, making special emphasis on furniture projects for companies such as, Andreu World, Arper, Casamilano, Disform, Do+Ce, Donna, Ferlea, Foscarini, Halifax, Lema, Orizzonti, Perobell, Prenatal, Sellex, Tacchini, Thonet, Tisettanta, Verzelloni, etc.
They also develop projects in the following areas: interior design, container designs, product designs, Art management and consulting. A part from these activities, the studio also lectures in two universities both situated in Barcelona.
The studio has been honoured awards and national as well as international recognition for their numerous establishments. Some of the awards include Premio Nacional de Diseño 1999, Deltas ADI-FAD, Concurso Nacional de Diseño del Mueble de la FIM, etc.
They have held exhibitions in Barcelona, Colonia, Chicago, Stockholm, Helsinki, Lisbon, London, Louisiana, Madrid, Malmö, Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo.
