“Caminante, son tus huellas el camino, y nada más…”
Antonio Machado

My walks, like the poet, make their way through Barcelona, which is the city where I live and work, a city that has changed in recent years and many of those changes are reflected in its streets and its people.

Walking is a meditation that reflects the relationship between ourselves and the world around us.

Walking for a few may be hectic and fast, for others long and weary, but always revealing different experiences and stories.

Walking is a metaphor of human restlessness, and our wandering allows us to explore the way we live, much like a scientific and philosophical investigation.

A walk that explores attempts to discover disequilibrium rather than harmony.

Walking is an experience of anxiety and daily surprise.

The surprise is also possible in the city if we do not try to stereotype expressions of beauty but, search for what we do not know about humanity and people, their words and their stories.

Walking means not only walking per se, but reaching out to others and the unexpected.

A short biography.
I was born in Rome, the eternal city.
I studied the classics, first at high school and then at university.
I worked in the movie industry.
I also worked in advertising, but I had neither the patience nor the character suitable for that kind of work.
Making movies: I started from the bottom, first as a third assistant director, then as an assistant director, then as a director and screenwriter and finally as a producer.
I was lucky to work with such great directors as Bolognini, Bellocchio, Risi, Citti, Monicelli, Borowczyk, Deray, Bigas Luna and many others. I’ve learned something from all of them.
In Bigas Luna, I’ve found an unforgettable friend. We shared plans and dreams and some of them we could even realize together.
I’ve always loved taking pictures: my father was my first teacher when I was just a child, with his old Rolleiflex. However, I also used a fantastic Kodak Instamatic and I loved Polaroid. As soon as I could, I bought a Nikon F and I still have it.
I like to tell stories and I find that photography is a good way to do it. I’ve always thought that an image is worth a thousand words.
Before the Olympic games, I came to Barcelona and I still love it.
I already knew about Barcelona through Vazquez Montalban’s novels and I was already in love with the city.
I still live here and I still love it.
