David Bestué and Marc Monzó, conceptual artist and jeweler respectively, present their work which is the result of a shared fascination for the world of objects. After months of reflection on their respective professions, both creators decided to enter a new world: they approached areas such as pottery, carpentry, iron, alabaster and glass. After this experience they developed a dialogue about their abilities and disabilities concerning each material as well as the limits of their own imaginary.
The result is a series of objects that intertwine both form and sense on the basis of subject knowledge. Although Bestué and Monzó’s approximation towards these trades is recent they are far from amateurism.
La Sala Vinçon presents the result of the investigation as a domestic space and not a facility, with a series of furniture pieces and prepared utensils, all set to be lived in and handed over to other hands.
