Objetos Ornamentales y Arquitectura
Guillermo Pérez Villalta
11/01/90. (Sala 114)
Presentation of the pieces produced by Luís Adelantado and of the collection of watercolours on architecture.
From 11 January – 3 February 1990.
“There is something about art which strongly attracts me and it is that I can think while doing”.
Guillermo Pérez Villalta.
The exhibition on the one part consists of a collection of ornamental objects recently produced by Luís Adelantado and on the other of the collection of watercolours on architecture dating from 1974 – 1988.
This collection of ornamental objects stems from a series of drawings that he started to carry out around 1984, as a way out to another long series dating from the mid-sixties. These came about from certain motivations: His passion for objects (“I am an inveterate collector of the most heterogeneous things”) His love of decorative arts from this century.
From his “early and clear” relationship with architecture, which has always been present in his extensive work, the collection of watercolours has emerged that includes works from 1974 to 1988 and are displayed for the first time in Barcelona.
Barcelona, January 1990.
